nourishment

.for body and mind.

.your body needs nourishment in the form of healthy food and movement in order to keep it functioning optimally.
.sometimes we fight against this with too much junk food, alcohol, laziness, etc.  .our bodies are strong and can handle a little unhealthy detour now and then.  .but we also feel the side effects when we overdo it.
.in fact most of the uncomfortable symptoms we may experience are not indications of disease but rather dis-ease or discomfort if you will.  we race to collect our symptoms and label them.
be mindful of this. and stop.  .because our body will listen to these thoughts and fears.  this is big!

.did you know that our thoughts need nourishment, too!?!

.just as we might develop unhealthy habits with our body if we’re not paying attention, we can develop unhealthy thought patterns.
.when we focus on problems and fears, we end up with more problems and experience fears coming true.
.looking for labels and calling a symptom a disease and believing in that will materialize it for sure.

.but is that what we want?  try asking yourself if maybe you’ve gotten into some thinking habits that are not beneficial to your wellbeing.  .sometimes a headache is just a headache.

.the ego-mind wants to be right and wins every time.   Hmmm… yes, if you have thought about it and decided that your headache is a disease, watch out- it will be.

.anger, resentment, fear, jealousy- these thoughts don’t feel good.
.so drop ’em. let. them. go.

.why not try to nourish our ‘bigger-mind’ by letting go of negative attachments and then focusing instead on beneficial solutions.  we can also choose to focus on what is already good and working well in our lives.

.to do this, commit to a practice of cultivating new, better beliefs about yourself and the endless possibilities for your life.  look for the joy.  imagine the love of the entire universe wrapping around you. feel good!
